Albion Wharf / Ipswich, United Kingdom / Multiparker 750
Large-scale, fully automatic parking system
Albion Wharf, known locally as 'The Winerack', is a contemporary commercial space and apartment building in the Suffolk town of Ipswich, with stunning views across the river Orwell. This desirable waterfront development offers people the benefits of modern work spaces, modern apartments and a modern parking solution for their cars.
The fully automatic Multiparker 750 covers an eight-storey high section up the centre of the building, accommodating parking for 264 cars. The system is palletless, so cars are placed directly onto cast concrete slabs. Users access the system via three separate turntables and lifts, which helps to cater for the flow of vehicles in and out of the system, even at peak times of day.
Upon being recalled using the appropriate RFID chip, a resident's car will be delivered back to the ground floor, facing the correct way to be driven straight out, within two minutes.
